New definition for House in Multiple Occupation

From 1st October 2018, changes to regulations for licensing of Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs) will mean that all HMOs occupied by 5 or more people forming two or more households (where facilities are shared) will require a mandatory HMO licence.
Landlords with properties meeting the criteria must ensure they have applied for a licence by 1 October this year in order to avoid enforcement action. Application forms can be downloaded from our HMO page
